The Tower Clock Saviours
The Rauscher company in Regensburg has been restoring historic tower clocks for more than 100 years. Today, the Upper Palatinate company is one of the last of its kind in Europe.
Georg Rauscher founded the company in 1920, followed by Georg two and Georg three. Currently the three daughters of Georg three run the company. Granddaughter Mathilda will one day be the fifth generation to take over. The work never stops: Tower clocks are ticking all over the Alps. Not all have been restored yet.
